Encouraging Owners to Take a Closer Look at BIM

In a recent article published by Reed Construction Data, author Dennis Neeley, AIA takes a comparative look at the cost of implementing BIM in relation to its overall value on a project. He says that the sooner owners embrace the benefits of BIM, the sooner BIM will be more widely used and accepted. He encourages owners to research the benefits that using BIM has on the design, construction and management of their building projects.

KAI Design & Build Uses BIM on Harris Stowe State University Project

Harris Stowe State University's new Early Childhood Center was dedicated in August. The architect on the project, St. Louis-based KAI Design & Build, and consultant designer Adrian Luchini, used BIM to help accommodate the project's tight budget and deadline. Buildings magazine featured an article on the project and highlighted how BIM was used throughout the design process.
